Supernatural 05x16 Dark Side Of The Moon

Some more Supernatural fan art I needed to get out of my system before I move to other things. The quote and the reference for this painting are from the episode mentioned above.
So this is one of my (many) favorite Castiel moments from season 5. I might also mention that this was a damn hard thing to paint - I've spent hours tweaking that face and it still doesn't look quite right. Maybe that's just because I think Misha Collins manages to portray so accurately that moment when Castiel's disbelief finally turns into disappointment and anger. The change in his expression is very subtle yet I can still almost hear his faith shattering and crashing down. The fact that I keep seeing so many things in that scene is probably why I've spent hours painting his face. It just seems I'm not able to cram all that emotion into one picture... ;P
Nevertheless, I think this is the best I can do so far. I may have not been able to capture all underlying tones I wanted to, but at least the fellow looks like himself. I hope you like it!

Castiel! His debut episode is the reason I got into Supernatural.

Anyway, this is amazing. His eyes are such a beautiful blue.

It is one of those scenes that touched me the most too, and you definitely did it justice !

The colours and his expression are just awesome (I mean like, all that blue...).
