Skyrim: The Skeleton Key by Isriana Skyrim: The Skeleton Key by Isriana
Come on, Karliah, what did you expect Bron to do with it? Just give away the shiny key of awesomeness? Pffft. :XD:

...

Oh well, ok, Nocturnal will have her key eventually. Right after I'm done playing with it...
But really, I couldn't help thinking that Karliah might have done better had she given that key to Brynjolf in the first place. Also, I wonder if you can pickpocket Daedric Princes. Hmm... :plotting:

Yep. And that moment when you realize you haven't put any points into lockpicking... that was me by the way. Lockpick of 100, no perks.

that's true, who EVER uses the perks XD the perks on that tree are so useless, that they made a daedric artifact that replaces all of them entirely, only because they knew noone would spend points on the tree X3

You have to take into accout the few people who didn't do the Thieves Guild questline and didn't get the Skeleton Key, and as such they need a perk line to make lockpicking easier.

There really should have been an option to blow off Nocturnal and keep the Key for yourself. I remember thinking, when I faced Mercer, "You know, this guy makes some really compelling points."

I mean honestly, what could Nocturnal possibly offer that is better than the god key?

Two Skeleton Keys... But, of course, she won't offer that!

So nothing!

In Oblivion this was the first artifact I got - it saved a lot of time by just clicking "auto" on the lockpick screen (an option not available in Skyrim)

Ever read the in-game book "Purloined Shadows", where two thieves attempt to steal from Nocturnal? Nocturnal is totally letting Bron off easy =)

The original Grey Fox stole from Nocturnal, and got literally obliterated from everyone's memory, his wife's included, and was assumed to be missing. So, yes. She let Bron off easy. REEEEEAAAAAAAAA *Inhales* AAAAAAAALY easy.

The key's mostly useless if you've already got a high lockpicking skill and about 200 lockpicks in your inventory, which you will be certain to have if you've journeyed through skyrim for any length of time

If you get your lock picking skill high enough you can learn a skill so your picks will never break.

Honestly, normal lockpicking doesn't bother me. I jack up my skill level, and I've got 99+ (so about 200) picks, so no worries about running out.
