The OutcastIt was not difficult to find out about my mother in a village like West Harbor. Even though decades had passed people still whispered about the demoness of the Underdark who had arrived to the village one night over twenty years ago. They said she was unnatural creature with her obsidian skin, silvery hair and glowing red eyes. She moved like a shadow through the village, always during night-time, never letting rays of the rising sun touch her. She was a drow, the cursed one.

Blind Guardian: Bard's Song

A little birthday present for dear

- I really hope you like it!

I have wanted to draw her Neverwinter Nights 2 character, halfling bard Torias, for a while now and this is what I came up with. He's such a charming character - he can be so carefree and wise, amiable and serius at the same time. I had a lot of fun drawing him and I was humming "Bard's Song" almost all the time I was making this - I just had to add it to description.

When I heared the "Bard's Song" for the very first time, it wasn't performed by Blind Guardian, but by Van Canto - an a-capella metal group ( [link] ) on a life concert. I still love this quite unusual version.

I stumbled across them on YouTube couple years ago - their cover of "Bard's Song" is simply amazing. They even made their own version of Nightwish's song "Wishmaster" which is pretty impressive accomplishment, I must say...
