In My Life

Yay, my spring break just started! I'll still have to work and write few essays, but nevertheless it's nice that I don't have to drag myself to the university for a week. And I'm going to the Nightwish concert next Saturday! I've had those tickets waiting since November and finally I'm going to hear some Imaginaerum live.
Other than that I've been more and less sick for past couple of weeks – hence the lask of comics and comments. Contest entries are pretty much the only thing I have bothered to put my energy into lately, and I've spent rest of my free time just sneezing, coughing and watching Criminal Minds. I still don't feel quite as healthy as I'd like to, but hopefully that's going to change soon.
Anyway, I'm going to finally include the meme tagged me to do a while back – so those of you who don't take interest in lives of my video game OCs can stop reading after this paragraph. Cheers to everyone and have a great weekend!

10 Unnecessary Things About My OC That You Really Didn't Need to Know meme.

Rules:
1. You must post these rules.
2. Each character must post 10 things about themselves on their journal.
3. Answer the questions the tagger set for you in their post, and create ten new questions for the characters you tag to answer.

The character who got tagged this time is my second Dovahkiin from The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, imperial fellow Bron Martes. I haven't actually shared much of his background, so here is some info for those of you who are interested.



10 facts about Bron

1. He's a member of Thieves Guild. Rumors about the faction were actually the reason why he decided to travel to Skyrim in the first place.

2. Bron was born into a rather big but poor family. Constantly at odds with his father, he finally walked away from them in his teens and hasn't looked back since.

3. He has lived most of his life in different parts of Cyrodiil. He's originally from town of Bravil which an Oblivion NPC described delightfully: "Bravil is the dark grate of the sewer drain where foul and unappetizing debris collects." I can imagine it was even less appealing place to live after Thalmor army conquered it during the Great War.

4. In his youth he was sent to be apprenticed to the local blacksmith. As much as he resented his forced occupation and his harsh master, he eventually learned the trade. After that him being a thief was more of a choice than a necessity.

5. He's suave, persuasive, often sarcastic, exceedingly opportunistic and altogether a shameless liar. He feels no remorse of being the swindler he is, but he is far more likely to part you from your belongings than your life.

6.  Bron currently resides in Riften, and owns a  house called Honeyside.

7. He picks locks and pockets everywhere all the time – but has somehow managed to avoid getting any bounty in Skyrim.

8. He's a slim man, a bit shorter than average, and not as physically strong as he'd like to be. However, what he lacks in strength he makes up in swiftness, stealth and cunning.

9. Bron's ultimately favorite weapon is a bow. Currently he carries a self made flawless Elven Bow with Soul Trap enchantment.

10. Grown up seeing the aftermath of the Great War, he tries to stay away from the whole Stomcloak/Legionnaire conflict, though he doesn't hesitate to exploit the chaos caused by the civil war. After all– when people are fighting over dominion of a country, few have time to worry about a thief or two...

1) What is your favorite color?

You can never go wrong with black.

2) Do you have any bad memories about school and childhood in general?

You mean besides poverty, crime, chaotic post-war environment, twelve hour working days at the local forge and constant barking coming from a drunkard father? Not really, no. Good times.

3) Do you listen to music?

I do, gladly. If only these damn Nords could sing about something other than everyone dying horrible death for honor, homeland or some other trivial matter. I especially sympathize with Ragnar the Red - poor sod.

4) Is there something that you really hate with all your heart?

Politics and politicians in general. More specifically current leaders of Tamriel who apparently can't get enough of hitting each other with shovels and fighting over who gets to use the bucket in their little sandbox game.

5) Don't you think animals should be all free?

Free, captive, dead – all the same to me. Unless those animals can carry me and my junk over the mountains or be turned into some nice, expensive furs, I don't care.

6) Do you have a lover?

Well, of course I do. She just doesn't know it yet. *glares at Vex dwelling in her mighty indifference*

7) Are your parents proud of you now?

Don't know, don't care – and neither do they, I'm sure. But in their face for saying that crime never pays! I now have enough septims to buy the shoddy excuse for a town they used to live in.

8) Does the end justify the means?

Always.

9) Between madness and genius, there's a thin line. On which side would you fall?

Genius, obviously.

10) Do you believe in after life, and hell?

I didn't until my path lead me to Daedric Princess Nocturnal. As I've come to understand she now owns my soul, and I'm bound to become her guardian after my death. Funny how the life goes.
